It’s no secret that grocery prices have risen across the country since 2020.
Families continue to struggle with higher prices across the board, including groceries, gas and utilities. To help readers locate the most affordable groceries for their household, The Sentinel is introducing a weekly “Grocery Guide” that compares the current prices of staple items at local stores.
For this week’s offering, we’re looking at tomatoes — which have seen a significant price bump. CBS News recently placed the year-over-year increase at 40%.
