There have been very few players in the history of not just the Browns, but in all of Cleveland sports, who accomplished as much as Myles Garrett did as a professional athlete in the city.
That’s why the trade of the 30-year-old All-Pro defensive end to the Los Angeles Rams was so jaw-dropping, even if it wasn’t totally out of the blue.
Garrett signaled the beginning of a rebuilding when he was the No. 1 overall pick in 2017 out of Texas A&M University. His trade signals the official acceptance that another rebuild has started with the 2025 and 2026 draft classes.
The departure of Garrett, though, means the departure of one of the most dominant players of his generation. As arguably the second-greatest player in Browns history behind Jim Brown departs, let’s look back at the multitude of franchise and NFL accomplishments he left behind.
Note that the sack was not an official NFL statistic until the 1982 season.
