IndyCar driver Scott Dixon was knocked out of the Detroit Grand Prix on Lap 70 by “another joyous hybrid failure,” the Chip Ganassi driver said on the Fox broadcast.
“It happened early, like Lap 4 or 5, we couldn’t deploy,” Dixon said. “Then it had problems regenerating. Once it does, it goes to failure mode. It almost stopped with the caution. With the alarm you get now, if you drive it, you to buy it and I don’t think anyone wants to buy these.”
