The Seabreeze High School Class of 2026 earned degrees and applause at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on May 29.
In all, 393 Sandcrabs walked the stage.
Seabreeze students’ college and career readiness
The class achieved a 90% college and career acceleration rate, a measure of students who have completed coursework or earned credentials demonstrating readiness for postsecondary education, the workforce, or military. Seabreeze students earned 361 industry scholar designations.
Scholars and high achievers
Austin Upchurch was the Seabreeze valedictorian, while Allison Pate was salutatorian. In all, 99 Seabreeze seniors earned scholar designations, while 23 received the Florida Seal of Biliteracy and 30 landed the Florida Seal of Fine Arts.
Community and military service
The class earned 37,287 community service hours. Of the graduates, seven were headed into the U.S. armed forces.
College scholarships, degrees earned
Seabreeze students earned more than $4.1 million in college scholarships, while 11 collected associate of arts or associate of science degrees from dual-enrollment programs.
