Don’t get this confused with National Cheeseburger Day, which is Sept. 28, or National Slider Day, which was a few weeks ago.
Fast food joints, local bars and other places that specialize in burgers are offering deals and discounts for National Hamburger Day.
Some burger chains require customers to be a rewards member of some kind to get a free burger or discount, but not all do. Here are some highlights among the deals on Thursday for National Hamburger Day.
Antidote: A new upscale restaurant on Detroit’s east side, Antidote will offer its gourmet house burger (a prime beef patty with smoked gouda, caramelized onions, and black garlic aioli on a butter-toasted brioche bun) with house-made potato chips and a shot of whiskey for $25 on May 28. 14628 E. Hungry Howies Backyard Burger Pizza Pop-Up: Celebrate National Burger Day with a pizza near the Hungry Howies on Wayne State University’s campus.
