Notre Dame men’s basketball will be playing in the Players Era 8 Tournament in the fall, and on Thursday the first-round matchups were announced.
The Irish will take on the Florida Gators, who went 26-7 in the regular season last year and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Traditionally, the Gators have been a very good program, and you expect the same this coming season.
The game is set to be played on Nov. 17th, with the tipoff time unknown at the moment. All eight teams will play on that day, which will be a very exciting day for basketball. Hopefully the Irish are able to engineer a quick turnaround, as they struggled to a 13-18 record this past season.
Notre Dame lost multiple starters and contributors during the transfer portal season, but were able to add some quality talent to replace them.
