Who will come out on top at the 2026 CJ Cup Byron Nelson: Scottie Scheffler, the field or Mother Nature?
Scheffler was a force of nature at his hometown tournament last year, beating Erik van Rooyen by eight strokes with a PGA Tour record-tying score of 253 (that was good for 31 under par). Taylor Pendrith and K.H. Lee have previously won at TPC Craig Ranch, while Dallas native Jordan Spieth, Si Woo Kim and Brooks Koepka are among the favorites to compete with Scheffler for the title.
How the tournament plays out will depend on when the rain will allow it. Last year’s event saw a substantial rain delay during Round 2, and similar weather is forecast throughout the week. The National Weather Service calls for nearly an inch of rain to fall over the course of the day, and there are afternoon thunderstorms predicted for Saturday and Sunday.
