What time is Cavs vs Knicks? Game 1 TV schedule in NBA playoffs

After dropping Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Detroit Pistons, the Cleveland Cavaliers came through to dominate a do-or-die Game 7, getting star guard Donovan Mitchell over the hump and into the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in his career.

Next up will be Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks starting on Tuesday, May 19.

The Knicks made quick work of the Philadelphia 76ers in their semifinal series, dispatching Philly in a four-game sweep.

New York should be well-rested, so the Cavs will aim to ride their momentum into the Eastern Conference Finals with an NBA Finals berth on the line.

What stations are part of the Cavs radio network?

In Northeast Ohio, Cavs games can be heard on WMMS (100.7-FM) and WTAM (1100-AM). Tim Alcorn (play-by-play) and Jim Chones (color analyst) will be on the call.

What was the regular season matchup record between the Cavs and Knicks?

During the 2025-26 regular season, the Cavs finished 1-2 against the Knicks in three games played. Included in that trio of games was the season-opening loss against New York way back in October — prior to Cleveland’s trade acquisitions including James Harden.

The Cavs also played New York on Christmas Day, which resulted in a 126-124 comeback win for the Knicks. Mitchell scored 34 points in the Christmas game, but Brunson matched him with 34 points of his own in the win.

Cleveland’s only win against the Knicks this season occurred at home on Feb. 24. That’s also the only game the Cavs played against NY with Harden in the mix, which may bode well for their next playoff series.
