Weeks after the 2026 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins still have several players from their 2025 roster still unsigned on the free agent market.
However, that list shrunk by one on Wednesday, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that former Dolphins defensive lineman Benito Jones signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jones, 28, played at Ole Miss from 2016-19, before he signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2020. After two years with the Dolphins, he finished out his rookie contract with the Detroit Lions before returning to South Florida for the last two years.
Over his two stints with the Dolphins, Jones recorded 41 tackles (seven for a loss), four quarterback hits, one sack and one pass defensed in 37 games. His 2025 campaign ended early due to a season-ending back injury.
