Golf’s second major gets underway today outside of Philadelphia. The 2026 PGA Championship will see 156 of the best from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, as well as golf pros from clubhouses across America, compete at Aronimink Golf Club.
The two favorites entering the tournament are the reigning Masters champion and last year’s PGA Championship winner. For the second straight year, Rory McIlroy comes in as the winner of golf’s first major, only this time he carries a few more questions after ending a practice round early because of a blister on his foot. Scottie Scheffler will look to get over the hump after finishing second in his last three events, a streak that started at Augusta.
Cameron Young and Tommy Fleetwood lead the pack of stars hoping to win their first major this weekend, while Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau will try to generate some positive news for the struggling LIV Golf League. Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas are out for another Wanamaker Trophy. Jordan Spieth can complete the career grand slam if take wins his first.
