Pistons rule out Duncan Robinson with injury before Game 5 vs Cavaliers

DETROIT — The Cavaliers will face the Detroit Pistons at less than full strength in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Wednesday, May 13, at Little Caesars Arena.

About a half hour before tipoff, the Pistons ruled out starting guard Duncan Robinson with low back soreness. The Pistons announced Daniss Jenkins will start in place of Robinson with the best-of-seven second-round NBA playoff series tied 2-2.

Robinson appeared in the Pistons’ first 11 games of the 2026 playoffs, averaging 11.5 points on 43% shooting from the floor (43.6% on 3-pointers), 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 31 minutes.

Jenkins also appeared in the Pistons’ first 11 games this postseason, averaging seven points on 32.9% shooting from the floor (24.3% on 3s), 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 19.3 minutes.

The Cavs did not list any players on their injury report for Game 5.
