The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market is set to return next week, with two new additions to the weekly lineup, according to a news release.
This farmers market will have more than 40 vendors this season, from farmers to bakers to crafters and more. Here’s what to know and how to go.
When is Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market?
The 2026 season will kick off at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. May 23. The market will continue at the same time on Saturdays through Oct. 24.
Where is Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market?
The Plaza behind the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts at 511 Avenue K.
“This location provides a scenic environment and an enjoyable shopping experience for our market shoppers and vendors,” the release stated. “We are excited to return to the LHUCA Plaza in the thriving downtown arts district and hope to see all of our loyal shoppers in this location.”

What is at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market?
The Sustainable Food Center, Growing Together Texas and the downtown market will team up this year to offer specially priced bags of locally-grown produce this year. Another new element with be live music by local band Snail Farm from 10 a.m.-noon.
The partnership between the market and SFC also accepts SNAP benefits, and participates in Double UpFood Bucks Texas and the Farmers Market Nutrition/WIC Voucher Programs. SFC’s The Happy Kitchen/ La Cocina Alegre will offer recipe samples and education at the market.
The market also has the Kid’s Corner, where children can participate in an activity. Pets are welcome to the market and could be recognized as the “Dog of the Day.”

“The mission of the Market is to provide Lubbock and the surrounding area with locally grown foods and farm products, to attract people to downtown Lubbock, to promote, encourage and support the growth of micro-enterprises and small farming enterprises in Lubbock and the surrounding area, and to educate people about local products,” the release stated.
