Michigan has added a second edge rusher to the 2027 class with a commitment from four-star recruit Jayce Brewer on Saturday.
Brewer, out of Franklin Central High in Indianapolis, chose Michigan over Indiana, Tennessee, Auburn and Kentucky, among others. He joins Recarder Kitchen as the two edges in Michigan’s class that now has seven commitments.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Brewer is rated four stars by 247Sports Composite and is ranked the 28th edge nationally and eighth-best player in Indiana. Last season, he had 31 tackles, including nine for loss, and 2½ sacks. In his two seasons at Franklin Central, he has 69 tackles, including 21 for loss, and 5½ sacks. Brewer also played tight end his junior season and had 14 receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown.
