Nearly 5,000 Binghamton University students will participate in the school’s commencement ceremonies this May.
Commencement will bring nearly 25,000 visitors to the Binghamton area, with ceremonies beginning Thursday, May 14. Throughout the weekend, drivers on the Vestal Parkway and nearby roads are likely to face higher amounts of traffic.
Traffic to and from campus will be conducted by New York State University Police and Parking Services, with officers on hand to direct vehicles and assist with both parking and pedestrian foot traffic. The school will also be opening the on-campus parking garage free of charge between May 15-17.
As was the case in 2025, no commencement ceremonies will be held on Sunday, May 17. Doors will open 45 minutes ahead of each ceremony, with each event expected to last about two hours.
