Giants' Jameis Winston will serve as FIFA World Cup correspondent

If there ever was an NFL player primed for a post-playing career in media, it’s New York Giants backup quarterback Jameis Winston.

The former Heisman Trophy winner, who still has a year remaining on his contract with Big Blue, will serve as FOX Sports’ FIFA World Cup correspondent this summer.

This is Winston’s latest foray into media. He served as a digital correspondent during Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans and was a guest commentator on Netflix’s broadcast of MLB’s 2026 opening night game this past March.

Winston’s World Cup duties will not interfere with his commitment to the Giants. Big Blue breaks for the summer after their mandatory veteran minicamp from June 8-10. The tournament will take place in various North American cities from June 11 to July 19, with the final game taking place at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants will open their training camp in late July at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, while the construction work on their New Jersey headquarters is completed.
