Michigan State football is one of a few schools still in the running for a big-time offensive lineman prospect in the 2027 class.
Dominic Black of New Madison, Ohio released his top schools list on Wednesday, with Michigan State cracking his finalists list. The Spartans were one of eight finalists, joined by Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, NC State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
Black is listed as a four-star offensive tackle, with a recruiting rating of 92.72 in the 247Sports composite system. He is listed as the No. 18 offensive tackle and No. 5 player from Ohio in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 125 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State extended Black an offer in late January and is one of nearly 40 schools to offer him, according to 247Sports. Currently, Virginia Tech is the lone school that has an official visit lined up with Black, so hopefully, Michigan State can change that and get a visit on the books for next month or June.
