Fletcher Kahle of Muncie Central baseball has been voted The Star Press East Central Indiana high school Athlete of the Week for April 20-25, brought to you by IU Health.
Kahle went 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs to lead Muncie Central to a 14-2 win over Marion on Saturday, April 25.
Kahle received 16,439 out of 32,651 votes cast (50.35%). This week’s runner-up was Kayden Schneider of Shenandoah softball, who gathered 13,753 votes (42.12%).
Students in all varsity sports are eligible to be nominated and can be named Athlete of the Week only once per season, per sport. Athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
