Texas A&M's OL recruiting success continues under coach Adam Cushing

Texas A&M’s recruiting success under third-year head coach Mike Elko continued on Sunday afternoon, and after seeing four offensive linemen hear their names called in the 2026 NFL Draft, O-line coach Adam Cushing landed his third offensive line commit in the 2027 cycle, as five-star Kennedy Brown chose the Aggies over nearly every blue-blood program in the country.

Brown received several predictions to land with the Aggies earlier this month, and while predictions matter, it’s never guaranteed that most will come to fruition, especially in the age of NIL and wanting to see the field in Year 1 has also become a trend for five-star prospects who feel they are ready to contribute immediately.

However, things are different in College Station under Adam Cushing, whose vast development track, going back to his stints with Northwestern and Duke, has erupted with the Aggies after four starting offensive linemen from the 2025 roster were selected in the draft, while Chase Bisontis, selected in the second round by the Arizona Cardinals, became a star at left guard after starting his career at right tackle.

Heading into the 2026 season, Cushing will face his biggest challenge with four of five starting offensive linemen, including four offseason additions from the transfer portal. Still, after an impressive showing during the Maroon & White Game, both O-line rotations looked much better in run blocking and mostly solid in pass protection.

With plenty of options after signing six offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting class, Cushing’s job is to identify each player’s best position that won’t just lead to on-field success but also develop each player into a future NFL draft selection.
