Texas football DL Trey Moore picked by Miami Dolphins in NFL Draft

With the No. 130th overall pick in the fourth round in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have taken former Texas Longhorns EDGE Trey Moore. The Dolphins took Moore with a pick they got from the Denver Broncos in the Jaylen Waddle trade. Moore with join former UT quarterback Quinn Ewers in South Beach.

During the 2025 campaign, the San Antonio native recorded 35 tackles in 12 games. He also added three sacks and three pass deflections to his resume. While Moore played in four fewer games than the year before, he was just as productive and made life difficult for offensive coordinators.

Moore, 22, was a an unranked recruit out of Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch, Texas. He started his career at UTSA before transfer to Austin where he played two years for Steve Sarkisian.

In 57 games over parts of five seasons between the Roadrunners and Longhorns, Moore recorded 175 tackles, 30.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, five forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and one interception.
