Here is the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s girls basketball Super Team for the 2025-26 season. Selections are based on nominations made by coaches.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Amoni Jefferson, So., guard, Littlefield
Jefferson averaged 19.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.4 assists to earn a spot on the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-Region I-3A team.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Jada Jackson, Jr., post, Frenship
No player disrupted offenses more than the 6-foot-2 Jackson. The junior averaged 2.2 blocks, 2.1 steals and 13.0 rebounds, in addition to 17.8 points and 2.5 assists. She made the THSCA 6A Super Elite team and the TABC all-state team.
NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR
Mikah Henderson, Fr., guard, Lubbock-Cooper Liberty
Henderson jumped right in to the tune of 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. She was co-offensive MVP of District 5-4A.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Kurt Richardson, Shallowater
Richardson navigated the Fillies to the state championship game for the second time in the past three seasons. After sharing the district title, Shallowater won the region before a comeback victory over Emory Rains in the state semifinals. The Fillies finished 29-8 after a loss to Hitchcock in the Class 3A Division I final.
FIRST TEAM
Brocoiya Harris, Jr., guard/forward, Slaton
Harris averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists to earn co-offensive MVP of District 2-3A. She also made the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-region team.
Taleesa Hope, Jr., post, Lamesa
Hope earned TABC all-region and District 3-3A newcomer of the year honors after averaging 16.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.6 assists.
Ari Johnson, Sr., post, Monterey
Johnson averaged 13.9 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.9 blocks, while shooting 55% from the field.
Karsyn Lutrick, Sr., guard, Idalou
Lutrick was District 2-3A co-MVP and TABC all-state. She averaged 14.4 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Linley Wright, Sr., guard, Shallowater
Wright, a TABC all-state selection, averaged 15.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists, to go with 150 steals and 172 deflections. She was District 2-3A co-MVP.
SPARKS OFF THE BENCH
Addisyn Bollinger, Sr., guard, Frenship
Bollinger, a TABC all-region selection, posted 13.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She was the District 2-6A offensive player of the year.
Carli Buckley, Sr., guard, Shallowater
Buckley averaged 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting 41%. She tallied 89 steals and 106 deflections to earn district co-defensive MVP and TABC all-region honors.
Macie Burkhead, Sr., post, New Deal
Burkhead averaged 15.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.
Abby Dallas, Sr., forward, Lubbock-Cooper Liberty
Dallas, the District 5-4A MVP, averaged 11.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists. She made the TABC all-region team.
Keyanna Jones-Maynor, So., guard, Frenship Memorial
Jones-Maynor averaged 14.0 points, 5.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals.
SECOND TEAM
Emily Blankenship, Sr., guard, Whiteface
Blankenship averaged 14.0 points, 3.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 3.9 steals. She was District 5-2A MVP and TABC all-state.
Lauren Brashear, Jr., post, All Saints
Brashear, a TAPPS 2A all-state first-team selection, averaged 16.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
Kirbi Johnson, Jr., guard, New Home
Johnson averaged 12.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
Kaleigh Smith, Fr., post, Coronado
Smith averaged 12.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.3 steals.
Preslie Wall, Sr., guard, Idalou
Wall was TABC all-region and District 2-3A co-defensive MVP. She averaged 11.2 points and 2.8 assists.
SPARKS OFF THE BENCH
Katy Evans, Sr., guard, Lubbock Christian
Evans averaged 13.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.2 steals.
Brooklyn Hogg, So., guard, Ropes
Hogg averaged 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals to make the TABC all-region team.
Ava Jaime, Jr., forward, Farwell
Jaime, a TABC all-region selection, averaged 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 1.6 assists. She was the District 3-2A offensive MVP.
Danali Perez, Jr., guard, Estacado
Perez averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 0.7 assists. She made 70 3-pointers.
Zosia Storey, So., guard, Frenship Memorial
Storey averaged 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.6 assists.
