Here's where Florida's recruiting ranks after big week of commitments

The Florida football program is coming off a big week on the recruiting front, adding a trio of blue-chip prospects to its list of commitments for the 2027 class.

After five-star interior offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller and four-star quarterback Davin Davidson committed to the Orange and Blue during the week, the Gators also managed to flip four-star cornerback Aamaury Fountain from the South Carolina Gamecocks last weekend. That gives Jon Sumrall’s program six total commitments early in the cycle.

According to the 247Sports 2027 recruit football composite team rankings, Florida is now ranked 15th overall, with one five-star, four four-star and one three-star commitment for a total of 137.14 points and an average of 94.00 on the publication’s recruiting scale. That wedges the Gators between the No. 14 Kentucky Wildcats and No. 16 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Along with the aforementioned commits, Sumrall and Co. have also added four-star cornerback Amare Nugent, four-star wide receiver Tramond Collins and three-star tight end Jackson Ballinger to the class since recruiting opened up.

Florida joins six other Southeastern Conference schools among the top 25, with the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas A&M Aggies holding the top two spots, respectively, along with the seventh-ranked Miami Hurricanes and 25th-ranked Florida State Seminoles. Take a look at how the rest of the top 25 shakes out as of mid-April.
