Detroit News contributor Keith Dunlap selects the top girls basketball players for the All-East region for the 2025-26 season.
First team
CLAIRE O’BRIEN
6-0, Sr., C, Utica Ford
The MVP in the Macomb Area Conference Red, O’Brien was a double-double machine all season for Ford, averaging 18.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She set school records for field-goal percentage in a season (48%) and career (47%) and had seven games of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. Was named first-team All-Macomb County.
BROOKLYN GARAVAGLIA
5-5, Sr., G, Macomb Dakota
The second all-time leading scorer in Dakota’s history at 1,035 career points, Garavaglia averaged 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game. A four-year varsity player, she shot 30% from 3-point range and was named first-team All-Macomb County.
GABRIELLA GOJCAJ
5-9, Sr. F, Utica Eisenhower
The senior leader of an Eisenhower team that advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 1982, Gojcaj averaged 11 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game. Signed to play soccer for Detroit Mercy, she was named first-team All-Macomb County.
GRACYN CARRIER
5-6, Jr., G, Clinton Township Chippewa Valley
Named first-team All-Macomb County, Carrier averaged 18.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals to add to already gaudy career numbers. Carrier already has 1,145 points in her career and should be one of the area’s best next year.
EMERSEN HOLDER
5-6, Soph. G, Warren Regina
Another outstanding player in a terrific sophomore class within the state, Holder averaged 21 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 4.1 steals per game to help lead Regina to a 20-6 record. She was chosen as the Macomb County Tier 2 (Tier 1 is larger schools based on enrollment) Player of the Year.

MADISON RISTOVSKI
Utica Eisenhower
Eisenhower started three sophomores and had seven sophomores overall on its roster, but that didn’t stop it from going 24-3 and advancing to the state’s final four for the first time since 1982. The Miss Basketball winner in 2012, Ristovski has made a good transition into coaching, and the future is obviously bright for Eisenhower.

Eva Borowski, 5-7 Sr. G, Grosse Pointe North; Layla Babich, 5-7 Jr. G, Romeo; Brynn Norbeck, 5-10 Sr. F, Fraser; Alaynah Quinn, 5-6 Sr. G, Fraser; Madison Repicky, 5-8 Soph. G, Utica Eisenhower.

Karissa Lewis, 5-9 Sr. G, New Baltimore Anchor Bay; Rayna Porter, 5-8 Sr. G, St. Clair Shores Lakeview; Allison Tuladziecki, 5-6 Jr. G, Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse; Nyiah Bell, 6-2 Fr. C, Fraser; Leah Poggliolo, 5-10 Soph. G/F, Utica Eisenhower.
