Hendrick Health is honoring organ donors this month in recognition of National Donate Life Month.
In a media release, the hospital announced three separate flag-raising ceremonies at each of its Big Country campuses, including the first one which took place Thursday inside the main lobby of Hendrick Medical South.

The public is invited to attend the events, which are hosted in partnership with the Southwest Transplant Alliance.
In 2025, seven organ donors from Hendrick health saved 13 lives and provided tissue donations for another 20 people, the release added.
Nationally, more than 100,000 men, women and children are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. A person is added to the national waiting list every eight minutes though 13 people die each day waiting for a donor.
