Brick and Ivy Market hopes to complete facade facelift by Tulip Time

Brick and Ivy Market in downtown Holland has almost completed a dramatic “glow up” on River Avenue.

The business announced the facelift plan in January, which largely affects the front entrance and signage.

“When all is said and done, expect the same friendly faces, the same local love and a space that feels even more inspiring than before,” the social media post read.

The renovations remain ongoing, but travelers along River Avenue have already noticed stark changes. Joshua Trube, general manager, said the front renovations are almost done and await final touches.

Inside, he said, customers will find a new front window design and a new black colorway to match the exterior; as well as new product displays to give the front of the store an updated aesthetic.

“Renovations are scheduled to be completed by Tulip Time,” he said. “However, the store is open and ready to welcome customers.”

Brick and Ivy Market opened at 182 S. River Ave. in 2020 in the former home of Urban Found. In 2024, owner Melissa Mathis announced plans to open Oak and Leather, an adjacent store focused on men’s clothing, self-care items and masculine home décor in the former Bambu Desserts and Drinks.

Mathis has also opened a second Brick and Ivy Market in Saugatuck at 120 Butler St. That storefront recently reopened for the season.
