Florida A&M baseball’s winning streak has ended at six games.

The Rattlers (15-15) traveled to Alabama to face the Troy Trojans (16-17) and were run ruled 12-2 in seven innings on Wednesday afternoon, April 8, at Riddle-Pace Field.

Troy outhit FAMU 9-4. Four different Rattlers got a hit: Jay Campbell, Justen Crews, Caden Kresak, and Colton Ryals.

FAMU utilized seven different pitchers, with Karson Lindsey taking the loss after pitching an inning.

Though Wednesday’s loss ended FAMU’s overall six-game winning streak, its Southwestern Athletic Conference streak remains intact. All of the Rattlers’ six straight wins are against SWAC opponents with back-to-back sweeps over Alabama State and Prairie View A&M.

Troy plays in the Sun Belt Conference.

FAMU’s SWAC streak will be on the line when it travels to Jackson State (15-18, 5-7 in SWAC) for a three-game, three-day series from Friday, April 10, until Sunday, April 12. Start times, in order of days, are 7 p.m., 4 p.m., and 2 p.m. Eastern Time.

FAMU is in a three-way tie for first in the SWAC with Bethune-Cookman and Texas Southern. The trio all hold 10-2 SWAC records.
