It’s Election Day in Wisconsin – and lines for the polls may be a little chilly.
Aidan Kuroski, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, said high temperatures Tuesday, April 7 will be around the mid to upper-30s – well below the normal high of about 52 degrees for this time of year.
Anyone expecting to go to their polling place at a busy time – like right after work, for instance – may want to bundle up in case they have to wait in line outside.
But fortunately, no rain is expected.
“Not much in the way of clouds, it’s going to be mostly sunny,” Kuroski said.
Tuesday is likely the coldest day for a while, as temperatures throughout the rest of the week are expected to warm up into the 50s and 60s. However, periods of rain and thunderstorms are expected to accompany the milder temps, Kuroski said.
“This time of year, it’s very difficult to keep those low temperatures around for very long, because the sun angle is starting to get higher and … the days are getting longer too,” he said.
