While winter sports wound down, spring sports around the area opened up with some marquee track performances across the region.
Find out which area performances stood out as the strongest outings from the first full week of the spring season.
Here is a look at the top high school performances around the Central Wisconsin area from March 23-30.
Softball
Jada Moenke, Wittenberg-Birnamwood: Moenke collected three hits, two runs, two RBI and a home run in Wittenberg-Birnawood’s win over East Dubuque.
Ari Inderdahl, Wittenberg-Birnamwood: Over six innings pitched, Inderdahl relented only two runs and struck out 10 in Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s win over Waupaca to open the season.
Layla Patraw, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln: Patraw snagged three hits and three RBI in a 6-5 loss to Eau Claire North on March 26.
Carly Pankratz, Stratford: Pankratz led Stratford with three hits, three runs and three RBI in a 21-1 victory over Mellen.
Ema Schultz, Spencer: Schultz collected two hits, two runs and two RBI in a 15-14 win over Lena on March 29.
Rylee Hraby, Medford: Hraby gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings while walking none in a 10-0 victory over Wrightstown
Molly Fox, Marshfield: Over five innings pitched, Fox relented zero hits and struck out 12 in a 13-0 win over Rice Lake. She then followed it up with two hits, two runs and two RBI in Marshfield’s win over De Pere on March 28.
Alyssa Kolano, Edgar: Kolano’s day included a home run, two hits, two runs and six RBI in a 15-9 win over Wautoma.
Kendyl Apfelbeck, Edgar: Apfelbeck smashed a home run, including three runs and two RBI in a 15-9 victory.

Maci Heise, Wausa West: Heise finished in first place in the 55-meter race and 55m hurdles at the Blue Devil Invite on March 24.
Isabelle Berens, Wausau West: Berens finished third place in 55-meter race at the Blue Devil Invite on March 24,
Anna Colwell, Wausau West: Colwell took third place in 800-meter race at the Blue Devil Invite on March 24.
Emily Jahns, Wausau West: Jahns snagged third place in the shot put event at the Blue Devil Invite on March 24.
Laiana Oldenburg-Marsh, Wausau West: Oldenburg-Marsh finished in third place in the long jump event at the Blue Devil Invite on March 24.
Alicia Voermans, Tomahawk: Voermans snagged third place in the 55-meter race and third place in the pole vault event at the Northland Pines Indoor Invitational on March 26.
Faith Derleth, Tomahawk: Derleth notched third place in the 200-meter race at the Northland Pines Indoor Invitational on March 26.
Elise Gibeault, Tomahawk: Gibeault took first place in the 400-meter race at the Northland Pines Indoor Invitational on March 26.
Aaliyah Nelson, Tomahawk: Nelson notched third place in the 200-meter hurdles event at the Northland Pines Indoor Invitational on March 26.
