With Spring Break upon us, we have another exciting crop of Florida Power & Light Athlete of the Week nominees.

Last week Niceville ace and five-tool hitter Chloe Bailey was named AOTW, joining a lauded list that includes classmates CJ Bolden, Delaney Diehl, Abbey Kuritz, Camrin Pearson, Teray Geiger and Jakobe Gilyard, Fort Walton Beach’s Eric Stouder, Brian Velazquez, Sawyer Downs and Diandre Mayes, South Walton’s AK Wickman, Connor Rooney and Maci Jones, Paxton’s Borgesen, Cade Stewart and Kenzie Lassiter, Choctaw’s Camry Johnson, Carter Marracco, Tamen Zabetakis and Jordan Figueroa, Navarre’s Maleeya Brammer, Walton’s Kaden Fuentes and Whitton West, Baker’s Wyatt Straight, Crestview’s Manwell Robinson and Trey Hardman and Freeport’s Emily Doi.

Who’ll join them this week? That’s for you to decide. Voting runs through noon Friday, with the winner being announced here shortly after voting closes. So vote now, vote often.

Athlete of the week nominations

Macy Borgen, FWB: The sophomore went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a 3-2 win over South Walton to give the Vikings some momentum headed into Spring Break.

Peyton Carter, Niceville: The junior had a week for the 6-0 Eagles, completing 54 of 82 passes for 688 yards and 15 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions.

Rand Stokes, Baker: The senior went 5-for-13 with six RBIs, four runs and two walks in a 2-2 week for the 9-5 Gators.

Seth Young, Choctawhatchee: Young went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in a 5-4 win over Crestview.
