The Florida State Seminoles are one of the biggest climbers in D1Baseball’s Top 25 after they swept the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to start ACC play. FSU vaulted from No. 20 to No. 11, a nine-spot improvement and the second biggest of any team.
It wasn’t a perfect week for the Seminoles, who lost their mid-week game against the Florida Gators 6-3 in Gainesville, Florida. They are now 16-3 overall and 3-0 in ACC play, showing how good they can be.
The Seminoles are now the fourth-highest-ranked ACC team, behind the No. 3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, No. 9 Virginia Cavaliers, and No. 10 NC State Wolfpack. The No. 14 North Carolina Tar Heels, No. 19 Clemson Tigers, and No. 24 Wake Forest Demon Deacons give them seven teams inside the top 25, the second most of any conference in the country.
FSU is set to have another tough week, hosting Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday at Dick Howser Stadium. They will then host No. 10 NC State in their ACC opener. All three games will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
