Michigan defeated Penn State, 5-2, in a Big Ten hockey tournament semifinal at Ann Arbor Saturday night, clinching a spot in the conference championship game.
Garrett Schifsky, Cole McKinney and T.J. Hughes each had a goal and an assist for Michigan (28-7-1, 18-6-1).
Kienan Draper and Michael Hage also scored for Michigan.
Gavin McKenna and Lev Katzin scored for Penn State (21-13-2).

Ohio State 3, (at) Michigan State 2, OT: Felix Caron scored 2:36 into overtime to send Ohio State into the final against Michigan. Riley Thompson and Jake Karabela scored for Ohio State (15-20-2). Shane Vansaghi and Porter Martone scored for Michigan State (25-9-2).
