The Detroit Pistons will still be without a key player when they host a battered Philadelphia 76ers team at Little Caesars Arena.
Ausar Thompson (right ankle sprain) will miss his fourth straight game on Thursday, March 12 (7 p.m. Amazon Prime Video), after exiting last Thursday’s road loss to the San Antonio Spurs early in the first quarter.
Caris LeVert (left wrist sprain) will miss his third consecutive game. Rookie guard Chaz Lanier is questionable due to a G League assignment.
The 76ers injury report rules out four starters.
The Sixers are without leading scorer Tyrese Maxey, who will miss at least the next three weeks with a tendon injury in his right pinky finger, star center Joel Embiid (right oblique strain), forward Paul George, who is serving a 25-game suspension, and wing Kelly Oubre (left elbow sprain). Oubre had 30 points in Tuesday night’s comeback win over Memphis.

Center Adem Bona, who has been starting the past week, is questionable with back soreness.
Philadelphia (35-30) is clinging to the 8-seed, one game above Atlanta.
The Pistons (46-18) bounced back from a four-game losing streak on Tuesday, blowing out the Brooklyn Nets on the road, 138-100, to regain a 3½-game lead over Boston atop the Eastern Conference playoff standings.
The Pistons will host back-to-back games this week, with the lowly Grizzlies visiting on Friday. A three-game road trip follows starting Sunday against the East’s 5-seed Toronto Raptors, followed by the 14th-place Washington Wizards on Tuesday and Thursday.
