Wednesday night’s men’s college basketball schedule includes an SEC showdown between the Florida Gators and Texas Longhorns at the Moody Center. With hours remaining ahead of tipoff, the latest betting lines have been gently shifting in favor of the home team — but not by much.
The Gators have won seven straight to improve to 21-6 overall and 12-2 in SEC play, having trended upward in meteoric fashion back into the top 10 of both major polls. The Horns have put up a mediocre 17-10 record and an 8-6 mark against conference peers, having won four straight before the Georgia Bulldogs beat them in Athens last Saturday.
The Orange and Blue are favored, but road games — especially against other SEC schools — tend to be a wildcard. Take a look below at BetMGM’s latest betting lines, along with our pick and prediction.

Florida vs. Texas predictions, picks
There is no major reason for concern against a fading Texas team, but one can never feel comfortable on the road — particularly against fellow SEC peers. There is no place for complacency on the road to the tournament and Wednesday night will be yet another gut check for the Gators.
The oddsmakers are right: Florida will prevail. However, the total score will exceed the over/under while Florida’s margin of victory ends up in the double-digits.
PREDICTION: Florida 89, Texas 77
