Dae’Vion Brunhuber scored a career-high 30 points for Marysville (6-9). Brady Wright followed with nine points.

“It was a fun and very intense atmosphere,” Marysville coach Erik Schunk said. “Both teams battled and everyone watching knew it was a rivalry game for sure.”

The Vikings host Warren Mott at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

EJ Fregetto and Johnny Hand each finished with 15 points for Marine City (5-9).

“We lost a hard-fought game in overtime,” Marine City coach Robert Salisbury said. “We had one of our best shooting nights behind the arc hitting seven 3s, but a poor performance from the free-throw line shooting 17-for-37. It was a very physical game, with a total of 70 free throws, and Marysville came out on top tonight.”

The Mariners travel to St. Clair Shores South Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Cardinal Mooney 67, Ann Arbor Greenhills 53

Liam Knuth totaled 14 points and three rebounds to lead Cardinal Mooney (9-8). John Hoppe added 11 points while Jackson Salter had nine points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.

“After a slow start on the road, we settled in defensively in the second half,” Cardinal Mooney coach Mike McAndrews said. “We got big contributions from a lot of guys, with eight guys scoring five or more points.”

The Cardinals welcome Riverview Gabriel Richard at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.

Port Huron 67, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore 28

Yale 71, Almont 34

Jackson Kohler dropped 27 points to guide Yale (15-2). Oliver Nelson added 10 points and Landon Kohler had eight.

“It was a great team win for us with 10 guys getting in the scoring column,” Yale coach Garnett Kohler said. “Our defensive pressure from the opening tip set the tone and allowed us to get out in our transition game. We moved the ball well on the offensive end and got some clean looks at the basket.”

Yale hosts North Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Almont (8-7) entertains Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
