Turning point: Matteo Costantini forced overtime with two seconds to go and Bennett MacArthur went on to net the deciding goal four rounds into the ensuing shootout, winning the tiebreaker after regulation and overtime finished 2-2 in the Jacksonville Icemen’s ECHL victory over the Iowa Heartlanders on Jan. 25 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Around the rink: In a wild finish, Matt Koethe scored with 26 seconds remaining to give Iowa a 2-1 lead, only for Costantini to score with two seconds remaining to force overtime. … T.J. Friedmann scored the first goal for Jacksonville (17-18-2-0) and recorded an assist on Costantini’s equalizer. … In the shootout, Iowa’s Matthew Sop, Keltie Jeri-Leon, Jonny Sorenson and Rasmus Kumpulainen all failed to beat Bullion, while Jacksonville’s Costantini, Craig Martin and Christopher Brown were unable to convert until MacArthur’s winner.
