MSU football re-offers elite, 5-star EDGE from Chicago

Michigan State football has re-offered one of the best players in the 2028 class.

Kameron McGee of Chicago announced on Tuesday that he has been re-offered by the Spartans. McGee was originally offered by Michigan State in January of 2025 by the previous coaching staff, and on Tuesday he posted on his social media X account that he has again been offered by the new Spartans staff.

McGee is listed as a five-star edge rusher in the 2028 class, according to 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 1 player from Illinois in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the class. He is also listed as the No. 6 overall player in the class.

Michigan State is part of a long list of schools that have shown interest in McGee. According to 247Sports, he holds notable offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, Texas, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington, Wisconsin and Notre Dame.
