The Yale Police Department is investigating an explosives threat that was made against Yale Jr. High School Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Yale Police Chief William Black confirmed police were checking the school. No credible threat was found at the school, though Black said the investigation remains ongoing.
Yale police were assisted on scene by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police.
Black confirmed the threat was made via a phone call. He did not say if any suspects had been identified.
The school remains open and classes are continuing.
