Stockton Restaurant Week returned on Friday for its 16th year.
The 10-day dining experience kicked off on Friday, Jan. 16 and runs through Sunday, Jan. 25, highlighting Stockton’s “diverse and growing culinary scene.” There will be more than 30 restaurants participating this year. The dining event invites community members and Stockton visitors to try “special fixed-price menus” at one of the participating restaurants.
“One of Stockton’s greatest strengths is the diversity of its dining scene,” said Robyn Camino, CEO of Visit Stockton. “Stockton Restaurant Week highlights the range of cuisines and locally owned businesses that make Stockton a compelling place to visit and live.”
Stockton Restaurant Week is an annual event hosted by Visit Stockton, which launched in 2009. It has become one of their most successful annual programs, a news release states. The event encourages diners to support the local food scene in January, one of the slowest months for businesses.
“The idea is that you have people just visiting restaurants and supporting local businesses during a tough month for eateries,” said Rebecca Scharmann in 2025.
Scharmann was the Visit Stockton director of sports, events and tourism development during that time.
During the 10-day dining event, diners are encouraged to order from the special menus created for Stockton Restaurant Week, Camino said.
According to Visit Stockton, restaurant week highlights the important role local restaurants play in the city’s “economy, culture, and quality of life.”

There are more than 30 restaurants signed up for Stockton Restaurant from El Chilango Chido at the Miracle Mile to Nash + Tender in downtown and Maharaja Indian Cuisine on North Wilson Way.
“The event continues to evolve each year, welcoming both longtime favorites and new additions to the lineup,” Visit Stockton officials stated.
Here’s the list of 37 participating restaurants as of Jan. 15, according to the Visit Stockton website.
