Goodwill is hosting an event for job seekers Jan. 13 and is looking for more employees ahead of a new store’s planned opening in Amarillo.
The Goodwill Industries of Northwest Texas (GINWT) will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 1904 Bell St. off of I-40. The company said open positions include assistant store managers, donation attendants, managers in training (MIT), general managers and retail associates.
The company said the fair will feature expanded hiring efforts to staff Goodwill’s new retail store located at 2271 SE 27th Ave. in Amarillo.
The store will be the third location in Amarillo and is scheduled to open in March 2026.
“At Goodwill, we see possibility in every person, and as our organization continues to grow, so does our commitment to expanding opportunity. As a local nonprofit helping people overcome challenges, build skills, find jobs, and grow careers, we work every day to open doors to opportunity. Our mission goes beyond employment — it’s about empowerment. We help individuals break through barriers, gain confidence, and step into careers that bring pride and purpose,” said Robin Raney, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Northwest Texas in a company release.
“With competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a retirement plan for full-time team members, we’re committed to offering more than a job. We’re offering a future,” Raney said. “We invite the Amarillo community to join us at our upcoming job fair and be part of a movement that transforms lives, strengthens families, and builds a stronger Northwest Texas.”
