The college basketball world will be locked in on Michigan State on Friday night.
The No. 9 Spartans travel to No. 13 Nebraska for what should be a high-level Big Ten basketball game. This marks the third conference game for both teams, but first since early December for both.
Michigan State (12-1, 2-0 Big Ten) enters with wins in its last four games. The Spartans needed a strong second half to pull away from pesky Cornell earlier this week in their first game after the holiday break.
Nebraska (13-0, 2-0), like Michigan State, needed a strong second half to avoid an upset scare earlier this week against New Hampshire.

Game Prediction
Prediction: Nebraska 79, Michigan State 70
While it’s still winter break for the students, it’s never easy playing at Nebraska and that is magnified when facing a Cornhuskers team as good as this one. Nebraska has built a fraudulent early season record in the past, but that’s not the case this year. This is a legit good team and this will be a tough game for the Spartans to win unless they play at their best. I like Nebraska to earn the victory here.
