Greater Cincinnati is under a winter storm warning as parts of southwest Ohio are expected to receive up to 7 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service of Wilmington.
Along with the snow, a cold weather advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Dec. 13 to 11 a.m. Dec. 15. “Very cold” wind chills as low as minus 10 to 15 degrees are expected, according to the weather service.
Several recreational facilities, libraries, shelters, churches and government buildings are operating as warming centers for those in need, especially the region’s vulnerable homeless population.
Make sure to contact each warming center location for capacity and hours of operation.
