Jordan Love knows what time it is.
“It’s Toyotathon time, for sure,” the Green Bay Packers quarterback said ahead of the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings last month.
Love is a spokesperson for the car brand during the holiday promotion when the dealership has specials, a period that coincides with the later portion of the NFL season.
And it’s during this time that Love becomes truly special. The company and Love have also really leaned into it over the last couple of years. Is it a “Carspiracy Theory” as Love and the company noted last year in their ads?
No conspiracy theory here. For Love, during this time, the touchdowns increase, the interceptions are gone, the completion percentage and quarterback rating soars. And the Packers do a lot of winning.
The Packers have critical games coming up to punch their ticket again to the playoffs in 2025 and potentially a division title and top seed in the postseason. Well, it’s a good thing it’s all happening during Toyotathon.

What is Toyotathon?
Toyotathon is a promotion for Toyota in which the dealership offers holiday specials and discounts. It lasts several weeks around the holiday season.
Toyotathon 2025 dates
Toyotathon typically begins in mid-November and lasts until the first week in January. Toyotathon in 2025 began Nov. 19 and goes until Jan. 5, 2026.

The Packers quarterback is a spokesperson for Toyota during Toyotathon.
He promoted the promotion to his 537,000 followers on his Instagram account on Nov. 21 while wearing a Toyotathon jacket.
“Toyotathon is upon us,” Love said in the caption.

Love also dressed the part for Toyotathon last year.
During the promotion, he sported a “Merry Christmas” sweatshirt with Toyota’s logo in the middle between football goal posts.

This year, Toyota has issued a limited-run of 250 Panini cards, with each containing an embedded piece of Love’s Toyotathon sweater. Love’s Toyotathon stats are on the back.
The cards are in Toyota dealers in Wisconsin.
“Our dealers are the longtime guardians of Toyotathon magic. They know how to recognize the chosen few. The cards will find their way — by destiny, not application,” according to a news release for the promotion

The Packers quarterback was name-dropped throughout a Toyota commercial that Love shared on his Instagram on Dec. 26, 2024. In the commercial, Toyotathon was even changed to “Loveathon.”

Jordan Love stats during Toyotathon
When Toyotathon comes around, Love is a different player. In 18 games across the last three seasons, when the promotion is active, Love has completed 67.19% of his passes, with 32 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 108.54 quarterback rating.

Packers record: 6-2 as they went on a late-season run to make the playoffs.
Before Toyotathon in 2023: Love and the Packers were struggling. It was Love’s first year as the starting QB.
In nine games, he was completing 59.38% of his passes with 14 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and an 83.93 quarterback rating. The Packers had a 3-6 record.

Packers record: 5-3
Before Toyotathon in 2024, in seven games, Love completed 61.59% of his passes, with 15 TDs, 10 interceptions and an 88.53 quarterback rating. He suffered through multiple injuries. The Packers had a 4-3 record in games Love started.

Packers record: 2-0
Before Toyotathon this season, across 10 games, Love completed 67.52% of his passes with 15 touchdowns, three interceptions and a 103.33 quarterback rating. The Packers were 6-3-1.

Jordan Love Toyotathon record
Love entered Toyotathon 2025 with an 11-5 record in his first two seasons as the starting quarterback during the promotion.
And Love and the Packers are off to a 2-0 start this season during the promotion.
