OSHKOSH – Thanksgiving travel could get tricky.
Commuters making their way to and from the county are expected to face adverse travel conditions as a result of rain, snow and high winds.
The area is anticipating 1-3 inches of snow Wednesday (Nov. 26) all while Winnebago County remains under a wind advisory, with gusts reaching as high as 45 mph in the morning and sustained winds of 30 mph.
The National Weather Service advises commuters to adjust their travel plans accordingly as snowfall coupled with high winds could make for extremely low visibility.
The high winds and snow should make their way out of the county by Thursday (Nov. 27), with temperatures dropping to the low 20s in the morning before getting up to a high of 30 in the afternoon.
Another chance of light precipitation arrives Friday night (Nov. 28), but most of the day should see little to no rain or snow while temperatures dip into the mid-teens.
