Ozona football's Christian Villarreal named District 4-2A DI MVP

Ozona High School football running back Christian Villarreal was named MVP of District 4-2A Division I after leading the Lions to a district championship and undefeated regular season for the first time since 1976.

Villarreal finished the season with 3,667 rushing yards and 53 touchdowns, ranking sixth all-time for a single season in Texas high school football.

The Lions picked up most of the other superlatives, including quarterback Michael Preddy earning Offensive MVP, linebacker JP Garza claiming Defensive MVP, Charles Harger collecting Offensive Lineman of the Year and the Ozona coaching staff receiving Staff of the Year.
