Following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 11 win over the LA Chargers, let’s take a look at which players received the highest grades from Pro Football Focus and which players didn’t.
Below is a look at PFF’s grading system for some context. While this metric is very helpful when it comes to quantifying a player’s performance, PFF’s grading system isn’t the be-all and end-all either. It is one metric out of many that are out there.
Here are the Jaguars’ five highest-graded players on offense and defense, along with the three lowest-graded players overall.
Jaguars’ 5 highest graded players on offense vs. Chargers
Cleveland graded out very well in the run game and didn’t allow a single quarterback pressure over 25 pass-blocking snaps.
Mundt graded out well as a run-blocker and had two receptions for 25 yards. Meyers continued to make an instant impact with five receptions on six targets for 64 yards, while Patrick had three receptions for a touchdown.
Tuten, meanwhile, led the team in rushing yards with a score.
Jaguars’ 5 highest graded players on defense vs. Chargers
Hamilton had a run defense grade of 81.1 with the Chargers averaging under 3.0 yards per carry as a team. Hines-Allen had another productive day, recording five pressures and a sack.
Braswell stepped in for Greg Newsome and allowed no receptions on two targets, while Antonio Johnson came away with an interception and gave up just one reception for no yards when targeted.
Jarrian Jones surrendered three receptions on three targets for only 22 yards, along with making three tackles.
Jaguars’ 3 lowest-graded players vs. Chargers
As mentioned at the beginning of all this, PFF’s grading system needs to be taken with a grain of salt. But perhaps that is even more true this week after the Jaguars won by 29 points. This is also a small sample size for these three players, with Lane playing seven snaps, Smoot playing 17, and Milum playing eight.
