It was something of a surprise when Michigan football didn’t aggressively pursue quarterback C.J. Carr, the grandson of former head coach Lloyd Carr. And Carr ended up at rival Notre Dame.
On Sunday, the Wolverines rectified that. At least somewhat.

Having been previously committed to Miami (Ohio), Saline (Mich.) three-star QB Tommy Carr (C.J.’s younger brother) also was heading out of state. But on Sunday, he flipped to his legacy and hometown school, joining the 2026 class.
Carr is the second quarterback commit of the class, and the second Miami (Ohio) flip of the cycle. He’s rated the No. 962 player in the country, the No. 49 quarterback, and 18th player in the state of Michigan.
