As his teammates and coaches are heartbroken for him, Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is turning to scripture to keep his faith.
He will soar again.
Kraft suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the Packers’ last game on Sunday, Nov. 3, ending his breakout year in crushing fashion.
Kraft took to Instagram on Nov. 4, a day after an MRI confirmed he tore his ACL, with his message.
He posted a photo of himself from better times as he celebrated with fans inside Lambeau Field from earlier this season and noted Bible verse Isaiah 40:31: “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Kraft promises his strength won’t be denied in this setback despite the long road to recovery.
He sustained the injury on the Packers’ first drive in the third quarter on Sunday in the Packers’ 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers when he was attempting to make a block. But a teammate kicked the outside of his right knee while he planted his foot, forcing Kraft to the Lambeau Field ground.
He needed help getting off the field before eventually being carted to the locker room.
The injury halts Kraft’s promising season in which he was on pace to set franchise receiving records for a Packers tight end. It also forces the team’s offense to turn in new directions after leaning on Kraft significantly during the first half of the season.
“He’s doing as good as you could ever be doing, considering the circumstances,” coach Matt LaFleur said this week. “Tuck’s a guy that, he’s not going to flinch. That’s why we love him. He’s a hell of a player, hell of a teammate, hell of a guy. I’m bummed for him. I’m bummed for us.”
Kraft was the Packers’ top pass catcher in 2025 with 32 receptions, 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight games. He led all NFL tight ends with 15.3 yards after the catch.
A week before the injury, Kraft set career highs in catches and yards in a game during the Packers’ 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers before a national audience on “Sunday Night Football.”
