McAlister's Deli and Supercuts could open new locations at Ransley Station

Two more national franchises are planned for the Ransley Station development in Northwest Pensacola, a new McAlister’s Deli and a Supercuts salon.

The proposal calls for the construction of a new, 4,400-square-foot building and was filed Oct. 31 by local engineer David W. Fitzpatrick and his civil engineering firm on behalf of the owners.

Ransley Station is an ongoing multi-use plaza project that will include apartment complexes, restaurants, retail, medical services and a hotel. There’ll be four restaurants at Ransley Station so far if county officials approve McAlister’s Deli to join the plaza.

Developers intend to build the structure at 8843 Boesch Lane, or lot 8 of Ransley Station, which is located across the street from Wawa and will neighbor a future Homewood Suites hotel.

If approved, this would become the second McAlister’s Deli in Escambia County. The McAlister’s Deli website states they’ll make their local debut inside Blue Angel Plaza at 9496 W. Highway 98 in the near future.

McAlister’s Deli is known for its sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes and its “famous” tea in over two dozen U.S. states.

Supercuts, on the other hand, has one location in the county already that’s inside unit A3 at 1531 E. Nine Mile Road. Supercuts has implemented its franchise model in suburban salons and barbershops across 45 states.

What’s on the McAlister’s Deli menu?

McAlister’s offers a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads and their signature “spuds,” massive baked potatoes, as well as their famed 32-ounce sweet teas. The customizable teas are steeped from Rainforest Alliance Certified tea leaves and sweetened with pure cane sugar, according to McAlister’s website.

If you’re opting for one of the giant spuds, made from Idaho Russet potatoes, you can choose between a variety of signature flavors, including honey barbecue pork and buffalo chicken. However, you can find some timeless sandwich options as well, such as a French dip, Reuben, Cuban and the signature McAlister’s Club, which comes layered with roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, bacon, sharp cheddar, Swiss, spring mix, tomato, mayo and McAlister’s Honey Mustard on wheat bread.

How many McAlister’s Deli locations are there?

Since its inception in Mississippi in 1989, McAlister’s Deli has expanded to offer over 500 locations across 28 states. Prior to the Blue Angel Plaza location, the closest McAlister’s locations were in Crestview, Niceville and Mobile, Alabama.

Future Pensacola restaurants at Ransley Station

Three popular restaurant chains have joined Ransley Station so far, and McAlister’s Deli could join the trio if its development is approved by Escambia County.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Culver’s and First Watch were approved by county officials to build new locations in the plaza during 2025.

Representatives of each company, including local Culver’s owner Brandon Cherry, told the News Journal that they’re aiming to open their Ransley Station restaurants sometime in 2026.

Chipotle and Culver’s are slated to open first, while First Watch scheduled to open in the middle of next year.

The new restaurants will be located at:
