Choose from four nominees for Cellcom Post-Crescent high school athlete of the week

Celia Gentile, Neenah girls tennis

Gentile won the No. 1 singles title at the Oshkosh North Sectional en route to leading the Rockets to the sectional title. She beat Sheboygan North’s Julia English 6-2, 6-0 in the championship match.

Rose Kendall, Xavier girls volleyball

Kendall had 28 kills and five blocks in the Hawks’ 2-2 finish at the Divine Savior Holy Angels tournament.

Ayden Kruse, Appleton East football

Kruse rushed for 206 yards on 30 carries and had a 4-yard touchdown run to lead the Patriots to a 13-7 upset of Appleton North.

Brody Schaffer, Winneconne football

Schaffer had 200 yards rushing with a pair of touchdowns and also threw for 157 yards and another score in the Wolves’ 38-31 victory over Fox Valley Lutheran. Schaffer also had two interceptions on defense.
