Brewster man Adam Peppe killed in crash on I-84 in Connecticut

A Putnam County man died after a vehicle struck him on Interstate 84 in Farmington, Connecticut.

According to a Connecticut State Police report, Adam Peppe, 34, of Brewster, was standing outside on the shoulder of I-84 near Farmington around 9:10 a.m. on Monday, to check on his vehicle when a van traveling in the right lane of the interstate struck Peppe, his vehicle, and another vehicle stopped on the shoulder.

Peppe was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police say an 8-year-old girl believed to be Peppe’s daughter was in the vehicle at the time of the crash but was not injured.

Another man standing on the shoulder with Peppe was transported to the hospital with minor injuries along with the driver, identified as Daniel Morrone, 35, of Terryville, Conn.
