BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football moved up three spots to No. 9 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after a 20-15 win over Iowa Saturday.
The Hoosiers (5-0; 2-0 Big Ten) won at Kinnick Stadium for the first time since 2007 and snapped a four-game losing streak in the series. They also moved up three spots to No. 8 in the AP Poll.
It’s the first time in program history IU has earned a top 10 ranking in back-to-back seasons. The Hoosiers jumped three of the four top 10 teams (Florida State, LSU and Georgia) that lost over the weekend and have been ranked nationally in both polls for a team-record 18 straight weeks going back to last season.
Indiana will have two weeks to prepare for a showdown at Autzen Stadium against No. 2 Oregon.
